Description
The computer animation crew at Pixar--the creators of TOY STORY--return with another feature rife with stunningly rendered worlds populated by cute critters you can't help but care about. The story is simple--an ant colony led by Flik (Dave Foley) seeks help from a flea circus and other insects in their struggles against the oppressive grasshopper bullies led by Hopper (Kevin Spacey). However, as with TOY STORY, there is as much for adults to enjoy here as there is for the kids. (In fact, the story is loosely based on Akira Kurosawa's classic SEVEN SAMURAI.) And don't miss the wonderful outtakes that roll with the closing credits!

A 3.5. An ant named Flik ruins everything when he accidentally loses all the food for the grasshoppers. He goes to recruit circus bugs to help him get the food back. Not the best Pixar film but there are a few funny moments here and there.
Good movie. Good animation. Outtakes at the end are a nice touch.
More nonsense. Typical loser saves the day against all odds stuff. Features few interesting characters but many annoying ones. The life of ants glorified for the purpose of making a marketable video game. Hoorah.

Awesome! I had to babysit a 3 year-old and this film really helped out. . .I enjoyed it far more than I thought I would.
This is the cutest movie I ever did see. It was also the first animated movie that I watched that tried to make all the characters more realistic by applying bloopers at the end. It worked wonderfully. Considering I don't even like bugs, this is one of my favorite family movies. Kevin Spacey does a great job, too, in supplying the voice for Hopper.

One of the best Pixar movies of all time
Julia Louis Dreyfus is great in this movie after what she did on Seinfeld and now this she's on a roll I tell you. This movie has an ordinary farm bug led into the city and looking for warrior bugs to fight the grasshoppers but the colony thinks that Flik will never return but I have something else to say about that.
